プリンチーぺ先生・一般公開講演

人文社会科学国際化推進センター（CGAS）では、数多くの国際的な賞を受賞し、わが国でも『錬金術の秘密』（勁草書房）や『科学革命』（丸善出版）でお馴染みの科学史家ローレンス・プリンチーぺ教授（ジョンズ・ホプキンズ大学）を講師にお招きして、一般公開講演会を開催します。

演題：「錬金術と近代科学の起源」"Alchemy and the Origins of Modern Science"

U-Tokyo's CGAS will host the public lecture "Alchemy and the Origins of Modern Science" by Professor Lawrence M. Principe (Johns Hopkins University) in the framework of our "Quintessence" international seminar on Friday, October 10, 2025. Professor Principe is world famous for works such as The Secrets of Alchemy (2013) and The Scientific Revolution: A Very Short Introduction (2011), for which he won several international prizes.
